The City of Toronto's budget committee is under pressure to keep popular programs from getting the axe, as its members prepare MLB jerseys to put the final touches on the 2012 budget. CBC reporter Jamie Strashin said the committee spent the early part of a Monday meeting reviewing the possible service cuts that might be avoided. "We know that city staff has found money to save programming at 12 community centres where the city currently operates, also a motion to save programming at one of seven [Toronto District School Board] pools where the city currently operates programs," Strashin reported from City Hall. "We heard last week about money found NFL jerseys wholesale to save nutrition programs across the city. We've also heard about money found to restore some of that TTC peak service that was possibly on the chopping block." Strashin said the committee will also be discussing the library budget later Monday. Before the meeting began, budget committee member Coun. Michelle Berardinetti told CBC's Metro Morning that the committee would ultimately find a budget that the majority of councillors can support. With files from CBC's Jamie Strashin
