A blast of wintry weather with snow and flash freezing is causing flight cancellations and delays in Ontario and Quebec. Air Canada and West Jet have issued travel advisories to their customers, telling them to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport as the storm front moves eastward. The advisory is meant for travellers arriving or landing in Ottawa, Kingston, Ont., Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City. An early morning Air Canada flight from Toronto to Kingston has been cancelled. The airline cancelled another flight from Toronto to Quebec City and one heading from Ottawa to Montreal. Westjet has cancelled at least one morning flight from Montreal to Toronto. Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for southern Ontario on Tuesday, warning of a flash freeze.
